Skills activities details (both Junior and adult)
A junior skills happens on Saturday mornings 8am (summer) 8.30am (winter) and Thursday afternoon 4pm, these are junior and adult skills services at the club to educate and support player development.
The club is keen to start a Saturday Morning Junior Competition. It would commence at 8.30am and continues until at the latest 12 noon. The competition is played for 10-11 weeks during the school term with breaks for school holidays. There would be a number of grades in the competition to cater for all levels of playing ability. The teams are typically organised by the club prior to the registration date.
The club can also provide advice and coaching lessons throughout the year. These lessons are available to all
junior players wanting to improve technique or learn competitive strategies. There are fees for these private and group lessons, which are generally available after school.
The club coach provides a holiday program of activities during school holidays or weekend camp, consisting of tennis and other sporting activities to develop and improve hand-eye coordination and motor skills. This is run when numbers are available.
Junior Players become a junior member of Tenterfield Tennis Club and receive a number of club benefits:

Reduced court hire (if there is a court available)
Opportunity to play Saturday afternoon social tennis
Invitation to social functions (eg., social tennis versus other tennis clubs)
Barbeque and picnic areas for birthday parties or other external events.
