All club members are
eligible to play competition tennis.
Competition fees are not covered by club membership subscriptions and
additional fees will be levied for competition entry. However, these costs are
very reasonable for club members, typically around $5-00 per play. These fees
include the reservation of courts, the supply of lights for evening games and
the supply of new tennis balls.
Monday Night competitions are split into grades, allowing a range of standards
to be accommodated. The club organises players into appropriate grades, arranges
for the teams to be registered for the competitions and provides the courts and
tennis balls for matches. This is all managed by a Club position on the club
committee.
Ladies Thursday competition is played in both Tenterfield and Deepwater. Morning and lunch is enjoyed by all on Thursday.
Monday night mixed competition starts at 6.30pm Teams are typically
based on a two man, two lady format and matches provide players with two sets
of mixed doubles and a set of either mens or ladies doubles. Competitions run
for around 10 to 12 weeks and there are normally two competitions of this
